External/Correspondence Testing

The Assessment Center at Northeast Lakeview College serves the community by providing external and correspondence test proctoring services to students that need exams administered in a secure, proctored environment.

All exams will be administered according to the prescribed regulations set by the home institution or testing organization regarding the use of notes, books, calculators, time limits, passwords, and items necessary to the proctor. The Assessment Center is located in the Brazos Student Union, room 227.

Testing Setup

External/correspondence testing appointments can only be made after the NLC Assessment Center has received your test information by regular mail or email. It is the resposibility of the test taker to make arrangements with their home institution/organization to use the Northeast Lakeview College Assessment Center as a proctoring site.

There is a $20 non-refundable fee for each test taken with the NLC Assessment Center.

Taking A Test

How to Schedule for an External/Correspondence Test:

Ensure that the Northeast Lakeview College Assessment Center has been designated as your proctoring site.
Schedule your external/correspondence test appointment online. You will receive a confirmation email with appointment details and testing information.
Pay the $20 NLC Correspondence Test fee through the Alamo Colleges District Marketplace Mall, a link and instructions will be provided in your confirmation email.

*If you do not receive a confirmation email please contact us to verify that we have received your test materials, confirmation emails are only sent to those test takers whose testing information we have received*

The Day of the Test:

You will need the following items to check-in for your appointment:

Valid picture ID.
Receipt of payment of NLC CLEP Correspondence Test fee. A copy of your receipt will be emailed to you once you pay online.
